It’s Global Beatles Day! Celebrate The Music Of The Fab 4!

Hey it’s Tim Thomas in for Nick.  And do you know what today is? Today Is Global Beatles Day!  What would the world of music be without John, Paul, George and Ringo.

Global Beatles Day started as a way to honor the band’s contribution to several genres of music, as well as their platform of peace, positivity, and enthusiasm. June 25 date marks the date in 1967  when an estimated television audience of 350 million watched The Beatles perform “All You Need Is Love” as part of the unprecedented Our World satellite broadcast.

So many artists in music were influenced by these 4 titans of music.  And the music lives on today.  I have never seen Paul McCartney or Ringo Starr live before…but Ringo is playing Ravinia Aug 3rd…so maybe I will try and catch that show.

The Beatles music is timeless, still holds up today.  What Beatles song is your favorite? If you could only pick one.  I am partial to a few:

So if you are not a big Beatles fan…try and listen to a few tunes today and realize just how amazing these quartet was and is.  You may become a fan.  It is never too late!
