A news story about a new restaurant opening up? Dozens of comments about how they wish for an Olive Garden.

A business closes down? Someone puts up a Photoshopped image of an Olive Garden in it’s place.

The tongue-in-cheek gag has been a thing for YEARS!

But it’s finally time for the joke to become reality!

Olive Garden has announced they are, in fact, opening a restaurant near the Costco at Rt. 30 and I-55!

Looks like it is set to open in 2022.

I’m actually more sad than anything! I think the inside jokes were better than the food!

But, Joliet, your craving for unlimited bread sticks will finally be fulfilled!!! ha!
