Joliet to Host First Ever Illinois Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Tuesday

How this wasn’t already thing, I’ll never know!

Downtown Joliet will be the site of the brand new Illinois Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The inaugural class is quite a list of music heavy hitters from musicians to radio DJ and stations to studios!

Class of 2020 Inductees include:

  • REO Speedwagon
  • Chicago
  • Cheap Trick
  • Buddy Guy
  • Muddy Waters
  • Dick Biondi
  • Larry Lujack
  • WLS Radio – AM
  • Ides of March
  • The Buckinghams
  • Chess Records

There ceremony will be live on the state of the Rialto Square Theatre (where else?!) and feature some big names!

Confirmed for live, on-stage appearances to date include REO Speedwagon, Ides of March, New Colony 6, Jimy Sohns of the Shadows of Knight, Mud Morganfield (son of Muddy Waters), Carlisle and Greg Guy (daughter & son of Buddy Guy), the Millennials with video appearances from Cheap Trick, Chicago, and more to be announced soon.

Guest speakers and presenters include Scott Slocum – WJOL, Terri Hemmert—WXRT, Ryan Arnold – WXRT, Sherman & Tingle—WDRV, Mitch Michaels—95.9 The River, Greg Brown—Retired from WLS, Lisa Fielding—WBBM, Lisa Allen—WTMX, Pete McMurray—Radio Personality, Marv Nyren GM/Cumulus Media.
