Labor Day Weekend at the Ballpark
I gotta give the Slammers a shout out here! I took my family out to a ball game at DuPage Medical Group field on Friday night and we had a ball! It was perfect weather and we felt extremely safe because of the protocols the team had in place.
It was a pretty good game as well! A few diving catches in the outfield, the Slammers pitcher had a no-hitter going into the 6th inning (finished with a 3-hitter), and the kids dug the home run.

The level of play has been high all year long as the event brought it many minor league players who didn’t hvae a home this season as the MiLB seasons was cancelled months ago. I’m sure players were grateful for the opportunity to play, and I know fans were grateful for having live sports in a COVID-safe environment to enjoy some live sports!
Now I’m praying this is the last time they have to do this!
