Fuji Food Products Inc. announced a voluntary recall of ready-to-eat sushi, salads and spring rolls that were sold at retailers in 31 states (including Illinois).
These products were sold at Walgreens, 7-Eleven, Trader Joe’s and other retailers across the country.
The company voluntarily issued the recall after the Food and Drug Administration notified them of the potential for product contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
To date, no illnesses with these products have been reported.
The FDA says that the affected products were packed in plastic trays with clear lids and the sell-by dates are on the labels. Consumers who have purchased any of the products should throw them away.
