Hi it’s Leslie, and I’m always looking for different and interesting things to do. This Sunday, People from all over the Midwest will be in Yorkville for the annual Fox Valley Prehistoric and Native American Artifact Show.

It’s happening at the Yorkville American Legion Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. You can see Native American tools, weapons and personal items. Some of them are thousands of years old. Also, if you have any Native American items that you would like to know more about, or have them appraised, you’ll be able to talk to an archaeologist.

You’ll also get to see some prehistoric artifacts that have been found in the Midwest.

The Illinois State Archaeological Society is sponsoring the show. They’ve been around since 1936, and are a nonprofit organization.

The Fox Valley Indian Artifact Show happens this Sunday, October 1st from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the American Legion Post 489, 9054 U.S. Route 34, in Yorkville. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted at the door.
