MAP: The Best Places in the ‘Burbs to See Fall Colors
A lot of trees in the area have at least started their yearly conversion. If you’d like to venture outside your own backyard and see what the Chicago suburbs have to offer in terms of fall colors, this map is a great place to start.
Last year I asked River listeners to name their favorite local fall color destinations. These are all the responses plotted on a map.
The usual suspects made the list, and deservedly so for their natural beauty. Places like Starved Rock and Morton Arboretum are perfect choices to visit. However, there are a lot of other places, probably closer to your house than you think, that people recommend checking out!
If there is a place you enjoy that is not listed here please let me know and I’ll add it!
