Mexico Has Shut Down Production of Corona Beer

Have you enjoyed any time outside on your deck or patio…perhaps sipping a cold one…perhaps imported from Mexico…with a lime? Well, it may not last too much longer!

People were already avoiding Corona beer due to its unfortunate name, and now the makers are shutting down completely. Grupo Modelo, the makers of Corona and other beer brands, temporarily halted production after the Mexican government declared it non-essential during the pandemic – not necessarily because demand was down due to hilljacks thinking it was somehow related to the infamous virus.

The company had just launched its brand new Corona Hard Seltzer in early March and said initial sales were strong before the shutdown.
