If you’re like most people, you worry about all those bills. There’s the mortgage, taxes, car payments, medical bills, college loans, credit card bills, etc.

No doubt about it, debt can have a negative effect on your thinking.

Not that winning the lottery is the key to mental health, but new research suggests that reducing debt may actually make your brain work better.

The study involved people that (unexpectedly) had some of their debt reduced by a charity and was conducted by the National University of Singapore.

The study found that reducing debt helped improve cognitive function and lessened anxiety disorders.
