My Little Girl Is Two!

Just a bit of proud fatherly bragging here.

I have the most adorable little girl, and today’s her second birthday! Hurray!

We woke her up with a shower of balloons, had some donuts from Home Cut in Joliet (shout out to a fantastic local business!), and opened presents this morning, with a little expert help from her big bro.

It is pretty sad, though, that we can’t have the family over to celebrate. We have a four year old Max who is just as excited as his little sister, and he was explaining all that comes with having a birthday, “You get presents, and cake and people come over!” Yeah, we had to correct him on that last one, which was pretty sad.

But hey, rather celebrate a birthday alone then a funeral in the future, right?
