My Rant About Power Strips

Hi, it’s Rich Dale.  This may not seem like a big thing, and I guess it’s not, but it’s been bugging me for a number of years now.  They make these strips that supposedly have six outlets, and they do, but you try plugging in more than 3 or 4 things!

Almost any plug these days seems to not be the standard little nub of yesteryear.  It’s something with a USB hole or it’s an Alexa plug or even if it’s small and plain, it has some kind of extra plastic on it that makes it impossible to plug something in right next to it.

As you can see in the picture, nothing else can plug into this “6-outlet” strip beyond the three things plugged in.  These are a little larger than many, but I still defy you to actually plug six things into a standard strip like this.

OK, now that I read this back, I can see how the biggest question in your mind might be “Who cares?”  But at least it’s a question.  It’s my job to inspire questions.  Done.
