So there is nothing more fun that watching your kids listening to the Beatles and acting as if they are the generation that has discovered this amazing band.  (it’s super cute!)   As I have told you before I grew up in a house full of music.  My parents definitely introduced me to many recording artists.  Elton John is the one I remember the most.  They played the Yellow Brick Road album constantly and I was in love with every song (and even the album cover especially the inner cover.)  My parents playing that album definitely set me on course to being a life long Elton John fan.

My cousin who is 7 years older than I am turned me onto Duran Duran (in a rather unique way).  She did so by introducing me to Simon LeBon when I was 13 years old … and I have been in love ever since.  (She worked for EMI).

As far as me passing the torch.  I have introduced my kiddos to tons of eighties bands that I know they listen to occasionally (The Clash, The Jam, Elvis Costello, Blondie etc.)  However I think when I opened their eyes to the greatness that is U2 live they were really pleased their parents dragged them to a concert on a school night!

So how about you?  Who influenced you and who have you influenced.
