Nobody like a name dropper (unless it’s Mitch Michaels talking about his brushes with fame!) However celebrities have been name dropped in many great songs … Sometimes in a way that honors the celebrity like Maroon 5’s Moves Like Jagger and sometimes in a way that kinda disses them like in Sweet Home Alabama …

…. but most of the time it’s all just fun and games when a celebrity is mentioned in a song … like when Jack from John Cougar’s Jack and Diane does his best ‘James Dean’.

I of course had to hit up this 1984 classic as my choice. I have always been a fan of this fruity band and this was one of their bigger hits.
