NASA’s DART Rocket considered a Success!

NASA smashed their $325 million DART rocket into an asteroid yesterday at 15,000 mph. The asteroid, named Dimorphous, was 6.8 million miles away from Earth. The DART spacecraft was the size of a vending machine. The goal of the mission was to see if NASA could affect the trajectory of an Earth-bound asteroid, if necessary.
