So what is happiness? The term happiness is used in the context of mental or emotional states, including positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. The Beatles thought Happiness Was A Warm Gun. Go figure. Another definition: happiness: the state of being happy. Thank you Captain Obvious! OK so then what makes you happy? That list is too long to even get into, but I’m thinking your surroundings would have a pretty big effect on how your feeling….how happy you are, your happiness. Where you live, how you live, what affects your life in a positive way? I’m coming up on my 50th anniversary of living in Chicago and all in all I’m pretty happy about it. The winters and the snow are starting get old but I’m a midwest guy (Cleveland) born and raised so I’m used to it. I saw this piece on the happiest cities and thought it might be of interest.
