Gun advocates will say that these things could be prevented if more good guys had guns, and gun control advocates will say that we need to make it way harder to get guns. Whichever side you’re on, I think everyone would agree that this is awful.
Yesterday morning, a mass shooting in Texas took 20 lives, and then again today a shooting in Ohio that took at least 9.
To say anything positive here just seems wrong. Of course this kind of thing brings communities together, but this is the absolute worst way to do that.
But in these cases, I’m always more angry when the shooter dies. Not because I feel sorry for him, but because I really want to see him face the music. The Texas shooter was apprehended, and I’m “glad” about that.
Please pray for the families of the victims and in fact the entire communities. In Aurora, we know how this feels.
