So admittedly I have a bit of a janky Christmas tree this year … so my best picture really is my dog Izzy sitting underneath the tree (which she does every year.)
This had me thinking, is this a deep rooted animalistic instinct that makes her do this. Is this left over from her wolf ancestors who sought shelter under trees in the wild… OR … is it simply that she likes to sit on blankets and she thinks the tree skirt is a blanket. I prefer the first theory.
Of course real trees aren’t always dog friendly … The fir tree oils can irritate your dog’s mouth and stomach and cause them to vomit or drool excessively. So keep that in mind if you have a dog that eats everything. We have a fake tree (a fake janky tree this year).
I know Christmas trees and cats are a whole bag of issues … I am allergic to cats so I have never had one but I have heard stories …
Izzy enjoys the holidays … she obviously doesn’t really know whats going on but she’s figured out she get extra treats and sometimes she loves a Christmas Cracker Crown as you can see … she looks thrilled!
Swing over to our Facebook page and show me how your pets enjoy the holiday season … I just love pet pictures!
