Salsa Fest Coming to Downtown Joliet in June

So, did you think of the dipping sauce or the dance?

Whichever form of salsa that came to mind, you will find it in downtown Joliet on Friday, June 9th during Salsa Fest! Salsa of every type will take over Chicago Street. You can enjoy salsa samplings, learn salsa dancing and enjoy live music! The best part? Admission is free!

You’ll be able to enjoy different food offerings from Supermercado La Joliet, El Camaleon Bar & Grill, La Villa Restaurant, Sunshine Mexican Café, The Dock at Inwood, Richardson’s Restaurant, The Blue Taco, Tamales Korinna and Azteca de Oro.

Adult beverages will be sold by Azteca de Oro while margaritas will be served from The Dock of Inwood’s margarita truck.

The event is the kick off to the Joliet Taco Trail! Yes…that’s a real thing! The Taco Trail is organized by Heritage Corridor Destinations and the Joliet City Center Partnership to highlight restaurants in the City Center Special Service Area, which is really downtown Joliet and the surrounding neighborhoods. There will even be an app you can download starting on June 9th to guide you through the taco trail.
