All of us are going to get storms, but the worst of it seems to be aiming for Will County and area’s south of I-80.

Everyone outside of Cook and DuPage Counties are in a Severe Thunderstorm Watch, but all of us will get some nasty weather around lunchtime.

From the NWS-Chicago: An organized thunderstorm complex is forecast to track across the region this morning and into the early afternoon. This complex will bring a threat for strong to severe wind gusts and quarter
sized hail. While a lower threat, a brief embedded tornado cannot be ruled out. The main corridor for strong to damaging wind gusts appears to be south and west of a Rockford to Aurora to Valparaiso
line.

While uncertain, there is a potential for additional thunderstorms to develop late this afternoon and evening. If additional storms develop, they could be strong to severe with strong winds and large hail in addition to a threat for locally heavy rainfall.

Another thunderstorm complex may approach the region Wednesday morning and into the afternoon. At this time the severe threat appears low with this activity, with gusty winds and small hail will be possible.
