Snow Storm Forces Woman to Deliver Baby in Plainfield Parking Lot

I’m sure it was scary, but this family sure will have a story to tell!

Plainfield Fire Department officials said they responded around 7:30 this morning, in the height of the Winter Storm Landon, to a 911 call about a woman giving birth in the parking lot near Jimmy Johns at Rt. 59 and Fort Beggs Drive in Plainfield.

The parents had been en route to the hospital, but road conditions forced them to pull over and call 911.

The PFD says the call came in at 7:31 a.m., they were there within three minutes of getting the call, and the baby girl was born seven minutes later. Freaky fast, indeed!

The mother and new born were transported to St. Joe’s Medical Center and are doing well!

This has got to be one of the best stories of 2022…and we’re only in February! It should be shared with everyone and anyone, so click that Facebook F or the Twitter bird and share share share!

Plainfield Mayor John Argoudelis made an announcement on his Facebook page today. Oh…and no, that is NOT the actual baby in the photo.
