So…How’s YOUR Day Been?

Hi this is Leslie Harris and I have had a whirlwind over the last 20 hours or so.

Yesterday afternoon, my husband found out that hone of his cousins had passed away from leukemia. Even though I was not close with this cousin, my husband asked me to attend the funeral, before he thought through the logistics. I only say that because once he thought through the logistics, he actually asked me not to go, but since I already knew he wanted me there, I decided to work it out. So when I got done with work last night, I got in the car and drove to our family farm in Indiana. I arrived around 2:30 a.m. . We got to the church today about 11:30, and stayed until the service was over, visited with the family, got a cup of coffee, and then headed back to the farm. I grabbed my stuff and jumped in the car. Okay, ETA to the River was 5:58 PM. No problem, that gave me an extra hour buffer. Except, did you hear about the storm in Indiana today? It was kind of a nightmare, and added more than another whole hour on to my travel time. I pulled into the parking lot at 7 on the DOT. I’m still decompressing a little bit on edge, now you know why!
