So much for peppermint

I don’t know whether this is good news or not.  You can now buy candy canes that taste like ketchup, pizza, bacon, or mac-n-cheese!  The crazy candy canes can be ordered online from Archie McPhee, a Seattle-based shop.

Actually, those flavors might not be so bad.  But two others are kale and clam.  Outside of chowder, I’m not even sure what clams taste like, but I don’t think I’d like it in candy cane form.

There’s one flavor that I read wrong at first.  I thought, it’s an interesting novelty but no-one would ever want a candy cane flavored or scented like that!  But then I saw it was actually shiitake mushroom, which still would be a terrible candy cane flavor, but definitely not as bad as what I thought.

I’m not that crazy about candy canes anyway, but maybe I’ll stick to peppermint.

OK, I might give the pizza one a shot.
