Hi, it’s Leslie Harris, and I’m about to do something that absolutely terrifies me. I am going to be performing improv live on stage!

Now, I have thought about doing improv for many, many years. It is actually a pretty common thing for radio people to get involved with, given that they are closely related, and improv skills help sharpen radio skills.

Anyway, I’ve always been too chicken to do anything about it, but then my coworker, Tim Thomas who is usually on the air here at The River from 6 am to 10 am on Saturdays and Sundays, (and elsewhere) started an improv troupe, right in the town where I live. So I decided to close my eyes and jump! I auditioned for the troupe, and Tim liked what he saw. So now we are performing our first show next weekend, December 20th and 21st, and I’d love for you to join us!

Our shows will be at the Lincoln Center in Downers Grove, and both shows start at 7:30 pm. By the way, Scott Mackay will be our special guest performer on Friday night, and Downers Grove Mayor Bob Barnett will be our special guest performer on Saturday night. You can get your tickets at the door or online HERE
