St. Charles Breweries Teaming Up to Brew a Special Beer for Charity

The brewing industry is a fantastic one, and one of the reasons for that is the frequent collaboration between breweries. I don’t know any other industry where “competitors” work together so often, and usually for the common good!

Many times breweries will collaborate on special beers, and usually there is a charitable component involved.

Such is the case for the St. Charles Six…the six breweries that reside in St. Charles. For the second year in a row Alter Brewing + Kitchen St. Charles, Broken Brix Fermentation Emporium, D and G Brewing, 93 Octane Brewery, Pollyanna Brewing Company, and Riverlands Brewing Company are all teaming up to brew to support a local charity.

The beer is called 2023 STC SIX, a light-bodied, Summer Pale Ale with the hop profile of grapefruit, floral aromas, and a hint of lemon zest all coming from the Centennial and Lemondrop hops. This is the perfect beer for the warm weather and is best enjoyed sitting outside on a patio soaking up the sunlight!

A portion of the proceeds from this launch will be donated to Lazarus House. Open 24 hours day, every day of the year, Lazarus House helps people in need find the shelter, food, and other support services they need to get back on their feet.

Celebrate the launch at D & G Brewing at 5pm on the 14th or visit any of the six participating breweries to try the beer!

You can read more about it at STCSix.com.

Also, each of the six breweries have limited-edition STC Six Glassware available for purchase. Magnolia Soap still has handcrafted bars of soap made with the new Summer Pale Ale for sale!App Listings 2 (3).jpg
