Severe storms took a toll on some building in downtown Joliet Sunday morning, including the Joliet Junior College culinary arts building and the Illinois Rock and Roll Museum on Cass St.
Our sister station 1340 WJOL reports a large structure that covered HVAC equipment on the roof of the JJC building blew off and struck the front of the Forge music venue. The Illinois Rock and Roll Museum also took some major damage, according to president of the museum Ron Romero in a Facebook post.
Debris covered the street between the Forge and the museum as crews from the Joliet Police Department and Fire Department surveyed the damage, as you can see in this video from 1340 WJOL morning show how Scott Slocum.
