You may have noticed that I didn’t do the midday show yesterday (or, more likely, you may not have). I had a blast with a few dozen co-workers as we volunteered at the Northern Illinois Food Bank distribution center in Joliet!
We spent a couple of hours sorting, de-labeling, washing, re-labeling and boxing canned goods that the NIFB will distribute across the southern portion of the Chicagoland area.
You may be thinking to yourself, “Nick, you say you worked, so why aren’t there any photos besides the group shot you were clearly forced to take!? Did you even do any real work?!”
Fair question, dear listener. It’s because I was actually working! I didn’t have time to be snapping selfies! I’m trying to feed the hungry over here!
The work went VERY quickly, and it was a great bonding experience as we processed over 7,000 pounds of food that will impact over 5,000 hungry individuals.
