The earthquake in Turkey and Syria has left so many dead and unaccounted for. The pictures coming out of the earthquake zones are beyond belief. Before and after pictures of the region are shocking. In several places the earthquake has simply changed the landscape. I saw a photo of train tracks that were whipped into an S curve, a highway into pieces of rubble, buildings by the thousands are now simply piles of destruction and rebuilding will take a great deal of time. Our west coast in susceptible to earthquakes and we’ve seen many over the years, but as bad as some of those have been they almost pale in comparison to earthquakes that have stuck around the world in the past 25 years.
