Hi, it’s Leslie Harris and Friday evening I went to see Hannah Shaw, also known as the Kitten Lady. She’s on a book tour for her new book, Tiny But Mighty, and made a stop at Anderson’s Bookstore in Naperville. Hannah is an expert in saving the lives of tiny kittens, and she’s written an entire book about it. If you’ve ever been interested in helping cats and kittens. This book is for you. Find out more about Hannah and her mission HERE

As I mentioned, the event was held at Anderson’s Bookstore in Naperville. Anderson’s has been in the same location for over 50 years, and they are a vital part of downtown Naperville. Still owned by the Anderson family, they are one of the few independent bookstores in the western suburbs. They also regularly hold amazing events, like this book signing. If we want to keep unique shops in our communities, then please support these local businesses.

I also want to give a special shout-out to the Catcade, a cat cafe/ arcade in Chicago. The owners, Chris and Shelly, co-sponsored this event, and they do important rescue work as well. All of the cats at the Catcade are rescues, and available for adoption. Find out more and make your reservation for the Catcade HERE
