Leslie Harris here, and yesterday I went down to Chicago’s lakefront and checked out the preview to the Air and Water show. I love doing this every year because you get to see most of the show, with a fraction of the crowds. I even found a free place to park!

Now if you didn’t get down there yesterday, and even if you did, you should check it out this weekend. This is a picture that I snapped yesterday of the US Navy Blue Angels. Their precision is astounding,  and the sound and sights are truly thrilling. You might want to bring earplugs as it is very loud, but it’s so cool to be able to actually feel the vibrations in your body.

Headlining this year along with the Blue Angels is the Royal Air Force Red Arrows. The best part about this is that it’s free. In fact, the Chicago Air and Water show is the largest free show of its kind in the United States. (although it’s VERY unlikely that you will find free parking this weekend)

You still have time to get down there today, and if not today, then plan to go tomorrow. Find details HERE
