The Planetarium is (FINALLY) back!

Hi this is Leslie Harris, and one more of our Chicago institutions is back to full operations.

The Adler planetarium has officially reopened, (the last of the major museums to do so) now that masks and proof of vaccination are no longer required.

There are also new hours. The Planetarium is now open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily except on Wednesdays, when the Adler will stay open until 10:00 p.m. AND, starting at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, the Adler will be free for Illinois residents. How cool is that?

All tickets for the Adler Planetarium must be bought online, and there’s even a new option called the Star Pass, which is good for a year of unlimited access to the exhibits, visits to the Doane observatory and sky shows in the domed theater. The Star pass is $180 for families, and $65 for individuals.
