August 17th 1995 – Microsoft purchased the rights to use Start Me Up for advertising their new Windows 95 software.
The song was from the Tattoo You album and became a number 2 hit for the Rolling Stones in 1981.
Although Windows 95 is long past its expiration date, Start Me Up still rocks!
