The first trailer for the animated “Super Mario Brothers” movie dropped yesterday, and now we know what Chris Pratt’s take on Mario sounds like: Chris Pratt.

That’s right, no accent. Which is probably for the best. Although inevitably, there will be complaints that he DOESN’T have an accent, because that’s the world we live in right now.

Nintendo partners with Illumination, the animation house also responsible for the Despicable Me franchise, the Sing movies, the Secret Life of Pets films, and others that give the new Mario movie some street cred.

The movie comes out April 7th, and it also stars Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong.
