The XFL Skips Over Chicago

The WWF announced plans for an eight-team pro football league, to be known as the XFL, that plans to kickoff next winter and lure fans unable to go cold turkey after the Super Bowl. I remember the original XFL in the early aughts. It was awful. It was so awkward to watch, but I tuned into a few games like I tune into watching a car wreck on the side of the highway.

It was bad.

The XFL will take the field again in 2020, but not in Chicago! I have to admit, I actually have mixed feelings about this! I understand some changes have been made to the XFL to be more friendly to everyday football fans, but I still feel like it’s going to ultimately fail. On the other hand, “What…is Chicago not going enough for you?!”

It’s like your best friend getting chosen for a part in a play that you think is dumb anyway. It still feels good to be asked!

The eight cities that the XFL will be in are Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa, and Washington DC.

Let the games begin.
