Tiger Playing In This Years Masters!

For golf fans there are really two events that harken the approach to and then welcome in Spring. First is the Pebble Beach AT&T Pro-Am held in late February on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula. The event was originally known as the Bing Crosby National Pro-Am, or just the Crosby Clambake. Then, in April, The Masters takes place in Augusta, Georgia at Augusta National Golf Club. Steeped in tradition and history this is the true coming out of Spring. Tiger Woods, who really transcends the sport of golf, has won The Masters 5 times, but has been sidelined with serious injuries from a car accident last year, has decided to take his shot and play in this years tournament. This is a big deal and is really good for golf and for TV viewership. Tiger is a favorite! Can he overcome his injuries and make another run at the Green Jacket? Only time will tell, but it makes for good fodder and fun watching for golf fans.
