Tim Thomas’s Deep Cuts- Peter Gabriel! Got A Favorite?
Thank you for making us a part of your Sunday morning. Tim Thomas with you and my Deep Cuts feature continues in the solo artist category. Today I feature the man who was once the front man for Genesis. He went on to have a very successful solo career and has had some iconic songs and videos. I am talking about Peter Gabriel!
When he went solo, he established himself as an artist to be reckoned with. Amazing songs. Innovative videos, and a true headlining act. He has been a champion of World music and he co-founded the WOMAD festival in 1982. He has continued to focus on producing and promoting world music through his Real World Records label. He has also pioneered digital distribution methods for music, co-founding OD2, one of the first online music download services.
So what 4 songs did I select to get the Deep Cuts treatment? Songs that you should check out and enjoy…give them a listen below.
Biko- Peter Gabriel (1980)
Games Without Frontiers- Peter Gabriel (1980)
I Grieve- City Of Angles – Music From The Motion Picture (1998)
Down To Earth- WALL-E movie soundtrack (2008) He won a Grammy for this one!
