Tim Thomas’s Deep Cuts- The Who! Got A Favorite?

It’s Tim Thomas in for John Calhoun.  A listener emailed me and pointed out that in my Deep Cuts series when I hit the letter “W” I failed to feature one of the greatest rock bands of all time.  They were right.  So tonight I fix that wrong…and The Who will get the Deep Cuts treatment tonight.

I have had the pleasure of seeing them on a few occasions.  My first time was when the band did Quadrophenia in it’s entirety.  John Entwhistle was still alive and Billy Idol and Gary Glitter was part of the show.  They were magical.  They still sound great today, and are making new music.  When VH1 did a list of the Top 100 hard rock artists of all time…the who finished 8th, only behind Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC, and Black Sabbath, Metallica, Nirvana, and Van Halen.  Pretty good company.

So their library is massive but I was able to select 4 Deep Cuts that I think you should listen to:
