Today Is This Rock Star’s Birthday. Who Is He?

Hi, it’s John Calhoun on this first day of March. Do you have a favorite rock band? If you’re like me, you probably have several.

The lead singer of one of my favorite bands was born in west London on this date in 1944. His group was originally known as the High Numbers. By 1967 the name had changed and the British rockers charted their first major hits on the American charts.
