Nick here, and this story will touch your heart.

Rather than me trying to explain it, here it is in the words of MyGrain Brewing Company in downtown Joliet.

On Friday, the biggest snowfall of the winter forced many local Joliet businesses to close down. While some appreciated the day off, this could not be further from the truth for Aurora locals Lorenzo Williams and Megan Neger-Williams. The two had planned to drive to the Joliet courthouse to get married before husband, Lorenzo, was deployed the next day. The two were devastated to find out that the court house had closed down before they were able to tie the knot. After finding out the news, the couple made their way over to MyGrain Brewing, located across the street from the courthouse, to sort their options. As fate would have it, a patron in the restaurant overheard their story and called a local Joliet Judge to ask if he would be able to come to the brewery to officiate their wedding. He did just that. Lorenzo Williams and Megan Neger-Williams were married at MyGrain Brewing on Friday February 9th, 2018 with family and staff all present.

MyGrain Brewing would like to thank the newlyweds for allowing us to be part of such a special day. We wish the two of you a very “hoppy” life together!

Good luck to Lorenzo and Megan, and thank you Lorenzo for your service! God’s speed!
