VIDEO: Crane Spans the Fox River to Install Sign at Aurora’s Newest Performance Venue
You might hear about a project and think to yourself, “Self…how are they going to do this?!”
I cant’ help but wonder if that’s what project managers thought when they were tasked at hanging a big sign on the side of the newly dubbed Stolp Island Theater in downtown Aurora. That particular side of the building is adjacent to the Fox River, so traditional means did not seem like an option.
Someone over at the Aurora Sign Company had to say, “Hey…we got a really big crane. Let’s just go to the other side of the river and swing that thing over there.”
Well…it worked and it looked so cool!
The small, intimate Stolp Island Theater, which is operated by the same people who run the Paramount Theatre and RiverEdge Park, opens up today with a production of Million Dollar Quartet. Tickets are available!
