Sorry Cubs fans, this post isn’t for you. It’s for my fellow Sox fans who are walking around today with a big, ol’ smile thanks to Eloy, the former Cubs prospect who was dealt to the White Sox (along with pitcher Dylan Cease) for Jose Quintana, and his BROKEN-BAT home run in the top of the ninth to win the game against his former organization.

To be fair…for as much as I love Benetti, he laid on the dramatics pretty thick from that point onward. The post game descriptions were a bit dramatic, but I do believe the moment was notable and should be celebrated.

That said, the first one to show me the “Thanks, Cubs!” t-shirt with Eloy’s face on it will take my next $20!

Up next tonight, Lucas Giolito vs. John Lester. That should be fun!
