Ya know I remember a time way before COVID when companies celebrated their employees and gave them perks and bonuses. It seems that the economy and the mindset of many companies these days is “you should just be happy to have a job”….and I get that (and I am) in these crazy, changing times, but still it is the employees who are the backbone of an organization. With COVID no holiday parties, no fun weekends away, no group trips to a show or maybe a concert. Well it would seem that there still is some of that going on. Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx the women’s wear company, has just done something quite remarkable. The global investment firm Blackstone is buying a majority stake in Spanx and Blakely is sharing her good fortune with her employees. She announced she has bought two first-class tickets — to anywhere in the world — for each employee and she’s added “So with everybody’s two first-class tickets to anywhere in the world, you are each getting $10,000.” For the full story read below.
