WATCH: Crews Cut Down Tree in Elgin to be Used as Chicago’s Official Christmas Tree

It looks like Chicago’s official Christmas tree was born in Elgin.
According to WGN-TV – who also shared the video on social media – the tree was donated by Gene Nelson, and it will stand in Millennium Park after its debut tree lighting ceremony on Friday, November 22nd.
