This is my kind of Lollapalooza! You get the music without having to deal with the insane crowds and heat in downtown Chicago.

The four-night live broadcast event starts Thursday only on YouTube starting at 5:00 p.m. each afternoon.

Now, don’t expect live performances from Sir Paul, Metallica and the rest of the scheduled artists. Most of the “festival” will be re-runs of classic sets from Lolla’s past. There will be a few live performances though, but I suspect if you are on our website, you probably haven’t heard of the bands!

This from the Lollapalooza press release:

Fans will be virtually transported to the festival grounds to experience epic past Lollapalooza performances from LCD Soundsystem, Metallica, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ellie Goulding, Run The Jewels, Lorde, Alabama Shakes, Tove Lo, including historic headlining sets from Paul McCartney, Chance The Rapper, OutKast, and Arcade Fire, celebrating the ten year anniversary of their Grammy Award-winning Album Of The Year, The Suburbs, and much more.

Lolla2020 will also feature brand new original live performances from incredible artists including Alison Wonderland (Live Set), Carnage, H.E.R., Kali Uchis, Kaskade, Louis the Child, NGHTMRE, Pink Sweat$, SAYMYNAME, Tank and the Bangas, The Neighbourhood, Vic Mensa, Yungblud, ZHU and many more.

For those of you who lean left in your political affiliations, there will also be appearances by Mayor Lightfoot and Michelle Obama, among others special guests.

A full schedule of performances is set to be released tomorrow.

Just let me know when Tenacious D is playing, ok?!
