Watch the Blues Brothers on a 50-Foot Screen inside the Old Joliet Prison
Now THIS is my kind of night at the movies!
The Old Joliet Prison, besides it’s historical significance, is famous for being the backdrop to quite a few movies and TV shows.
The most famous of which is the 1980 classic The Blues Brothers starring Dan Aykroyd as Elwood and John Belushi as Joliet Jake where Belushi’s character is picked up by Aykroyd’s in the movie’s opening scene.
Now, you can set up a bag chair and watch the famous movie from inside the prison yard of the Old Joliet Prison!
The show is tomorrow, Friday 9/24. Showtime is at 8:00 p.m. but you can arrive as early at 5:00 and get tours of the prison.
There will also be food trucks on sight, a beer tent, merch and more.
Here’s the rest of the info if you’re thinking about heading out!
