Weather Radar Actually Picked Up the Explosion in Rockton!

Wow. Never seen this before.

The Joliet Weather Center pointed out that the huge explosion at a chemical plant in Rockton, IL was picked up by weather radar. It actually looks like a thunderstorm popped up!

As of the time of this blog, they’ve had to evacuate residents within a mile of the blast due to fears that chemicals were being let go into the air. I haven’t heard any numbers in terms of injuries, but hoping for the best.
