Were You Invited to Try Facebook’s New Beta Test?
I log-in to Facebook this morning at work and noticed something new! I’ve been invited to join the test phase of Facebook’s new beta web interface.
Essentially, they are choosing users to try out their new website and get feed back.
Honestly, I’m not a fan. The side column’s are too big, which makes the main Newsfeed section too small. And, depending on what page you are looking at, the “main section” moves from side to side. Not a fan of that.
I do enjoy the option dark mode though!
Here’s what our page looks like on the redesigned website that is in beta test mode right now. Have you been invited to use it?#Facebook #BetaTest #newwebsite

Needless to say, the opinions on the redesign range from love to hate…
Does anyone else dig the design of Facebook Beta? I love it—if only I felt the same way about the platform’s business practices. pic.twitter.com/hY8F8t07a9

Another change coming is a dedicated space to get news stories, called Facebook News. We’ll see how that goes.
Here’s an ice breakdown of the changes in the beta test. Did you get an invite for it? Let me know what you think!
