Hi, this is Leslie Harris, and a lot of us are having trouble being happy right now. I know I feel frustrated and sad that I can’t see my family and friends, and sometimes fearful. So, I have consciously done a few things to bring more happiness into my life. My kids are young adults, but they are both home for the quarantine. I have made the point of having family dinners at least a couple of times a week. It might seem like a no-brainer for some families, but it’s something that we had gotten out of the habit of, especially with my youngest off to college. We’ve also been having family game time, which we all love.
I have made a commitment to get outside and walk my dog for at least 30 minutes every day, and I started participating in online Zumba, as well as online trivia which I talked about last night.
I cleaned my room today. While I didn’t enjoy the cleaning, I do feel happy about the way it now looks.
And of course, music makes me happy. I think since I work with music, I forget to go out of my to listen to specific music that I really enjoy.
What are you doing to stay happy during the quarantine? Let me know in the comments.
