What band would you love to see get back together again? (Only bands that actually can)

Recently the members of Foo Fighters told the crowd during their Reading Festival performance  that they should start a petition to get Oasis back together.  I was like YES!!  The Manchester band split in August 2009 after Noel walked out, declaring that he couldn’t continue to work with his brother Liam a day longer.  I mean I get that the Gallagher brothers hate each other (no really … they HATE each other).  I also get that neither one of them is a particularly nice human being but together they make amazing music.  The type of music neither one of them has been able to achieve apart.   So the idea came  up at Reading Fest after it was pointed out that Foos drummer Taylor Hawkins had stuck a photograph of Liam and Noel Gallagher to his kick drum.

“One of these days we’ll get Oasis back. One of these days,” Hawkins told the Reading crowd, after Dave Grohl took over on the drums for a rendition of Queen’s ‘Under Pressure’.

“We’re trying,” Grohl claimed.

Hawkins added: “We’re trying. Let’s sign a petition. Everyone here, okay?”

“How many people wanna see Oasis f**king play a show?” Grohl then asked the crowd.

Met with thunderous cheers in favour of it happening, Hawkins added: “”It’ll happen,” before joking that the reason it hasn’t happened yet is because the Gallaghers have too much money.

Of course in true Gallagher brother style Noel Gallagher addressed the comments during his High Flying Birds concert recently , assuring fans that there will not be an Oasis reunion anytime soon.

“Any Oasis fans in the house?” he asked the crowd, “Is anyone gonna sign that petition Dave Grohl wants to get together to get us back together? I’d like to start a petition to get the Foo Fighters to split up.”

Liam also responded in a tweet …. but yeah that had too many swear words for me to try and edit!

So obviously it’s not going to happen with Oasis … but what band would you like to see get back together?
