What do you think is the best Rock’n’Roll Movie of all Time?

With all the excitement of Bohemian Rhapsody’s success at the Oscars and other award shows, I thought back to some of the other amazing rock’n’roll films of the past.  There have been so many and I am sure I am forgetting some gems but off the top of my head here is my Top Ten favorite Rock films….

 

10 – La Bamba

9 – 24 hour Party People

8 – Hard Days Night

7- That Thing You Do

6 – Purple Rain

5- The Blues Brothers

4 – Almost Famous

3- The Commitments

2 – Spinal Tap

1 – Bohemian Rhapsody

 

I also need to give a shout out these fab films that almost made the list  – American Graffeti,  Buddy Holly Story, Quadrophenia, The Wall, Tommy.    Also I loved the movie’s Stop Making Sense and Urgh Music War but they are both concert films so I don’t think they really count as a movie.

In the guilty pleasure category, I also have to give a shout out to  – Rock Star, The Doors, Eddie and The Cruisers, Rock’n’Roll High School and School of Rock.
