What is a band or artist that you think deserves more attention?

There have always been artists that get so much attention and you find yourself wondering why and then there have been so many amazing artists that seem to just always fly under the radar.   It is not fellow musicians or music critics who miss the greatness of these artists… it’s the public and well to be honest … it’s also the radio stations.

So one artist I have always loved who is so well respected by his peers is Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics.  Now one half of the Eurythmics gets lots of attention (and deservedly so) but Dave really should be getting some of the love too.

He has worked on so many music projects often behind the scenes but he has also been a part of some pretty fab bands like the one below.  SuperHeavy were a one-off supergroup project consisting of Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, A. R. Rahman, and Damian Marley.   It was an amazing collaboration of international sounds and such a great album… have a listen.

 

Dave also has made some solo albums that really deserve some attention, below is one of my fav’s.
